LAAB Application for Continuing Recognition by CHEA

LAAB has submitted an Application for Continuing Recognition to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), a nonprofit service organization that recognizes accrediting organizations by reviewing their effectiveness in assuring and improving quality in higher education. LAAB will be reviewed on July 28, 2025 during the CHEA Committee on Recognition meeting. CHEA recognition review includes an opportunity for parties independent of the accrediting organization under review to comment on whether the organization meets the CHEA recognition standards. must be received in the CHEA office no later than June 13, 2025, and may be submitted by mail, fax, or email to:

CHEA staff will review any third-party comment to assess its applicability to the recognition review. Third-party comments are reviewed by the CHEA Committee on Recognition, as provided in the (under which this accrediting organization is being reviewed).
